#17 - The LEGO® Mobile Creation Station

Builder: vittorio

Description:

Why settle for your stuffy basement or attic brick room, sitting on a hard plastic office chair that reminds you of, well, the office, and locking yourself up for 12+ hours a day much to your non-LUG friends' and family's annoyance ("Uh-oh, there he goes again in his brick room...") when you can roam around while playing with LEGO?

The LEGO® Mobile Creation Station lets you do that! Check-out line at the grocery too long? Whip up a quick MOC! Doctor wants you to get out and get some much-needed sunlight by taking a stroll in the park? Figure out what to do with that airplane tail piece while you're at it! This nifty wheelchair has everything you need:

- brick containers that swing out
- an extra-large baseplate
- a camera that lets you take photos of your creations
- a white background to give your photos that fancy Flickr/Brickshelf look
- an integrated mp3 library and player
- a soda can dispenser

And they can all be operated at a touch of a button! Most importantly, the super-comfy cushioned chair reclines back for that much-needed rest after every building session! It even has a built-in massage function to relax your back muscles.

Sitting all day has never been this comfortable, fun, and productive!

Tranquility Says:

"I want this chair now, please! Completely impractical for everyday use, but TOTALLY AWESOME."

#18 - "Blue Chair Group"

Builder: LegoTron

by LegoTron (built in the USA)

(More images on Flickr)

I'm sorry you had to spend the whole week without your chair while our team worked on it. But we finished it just in time and we brought your favorite music group for the big reveal! That's right! It's the Blue Man Group! We've rebuilt your chair from scratch so you can wheel around in style and play cool rhythmic music as you go. The flexible tubes easily collapse for tight fits (and the custom Bose speakers dropped for low ceilings) or crank the volume to eleven to fill a stadium with awesome beats! You won't feel blue in this chair! Thanks for being a part of our show!

Tranquility Says:

"Not all that keen on percussive music for its own sake. But the speakers are cool."
