Today’s advent item is this Scout Trooper figure. Anything from Episodes 4-6 is going to be an automatic winner with me, but this figure is actually really nice. It’s only appeared in one other set (The expensive Ewok Village) and is a nice troop builder. Good printing on the head, torso and legs, nice helmet…the only thing missing is a weapon, but you got a few of those earlier in the month.
I’m a bit weirded out by the new versions of the stormtroopers and scouts. They seem to be trying too hard lately to make the stormtroopers look thinner, by putting them in armour that looks too small. Scout trooper has nice body and hip printing, but there’s so much black I feel sorta odd around him. The customiser in me wants to paint white boots and shoulder-pads to even things out.
