Today’s #1 is a collaborative effort with James Miller of DreamersInk.com. We’ve teamed up to write Ink House once before – the reboot gave us a great opportunity to revisit this odd little slice of alternate reality.

Does this mean that Whiskey might finally get his order of hot wings?
that would be one of the best callbacks ever!
YEAH IT WOULD!!!!
I like how the characters in this comic refer to other comics as t.v. shows.
Me too. Especially since my comic got a reference.
Score!
Ditto!
Hmmm.. Tranquility Base the TV show… that gives me an idea…
I take it Chris has seen the news Dr. Legostar posted on his webcomic for today? It seems like we really might see Chris send Brick House into DC Comic land after all! 😀
The last panel just does not surprise me”to the bar”ha ha ha!:)
If Doyle is about to run out of ideas for the reboots… I’ve got an idea…
MAKE A #1 FOR THE FRENCH CHEF!
BTW; this was a good one! I have no complaints about this strip.
French Toast with Chef: #1
hm, is the green-haired guy supposed the say “aboot”? Just wondering cause it makes me imaging a green-haired Scot.
Green haired Canadian actually.
I’m not too familiar with Canadian accents. Which is odd ebcause I had a canadian maths teacher for half a year. But then he always said “about”. I really can only imagine a stereotypical scottish person saying “aboot”, but if you say Canadian…
Oh, that reminds me…What font does Chris use? for both normal speech and Frobot? I like those styles.
Canadians don’t have an accent. At least, not in most provinces. I think Ontario (Definately Quebec), PEI, Newfoundland… Basically the East… has an accent. But not where I am.
Most any Canadian under the age of 40 has grown up with a lot of American television, and it’s affected our pronunciation to a fair degree. It’s rare to hear “mum” now instead of “mom,” and most of the “about”s that I hear are decidedly “out” in style.
And now, we don’t say “oot” when we order people to leave.
The “eh” thing is somewhat true, though.
Bob, the green haired guy isn’t Canadian. He’s from Colorado actually. As for “aboot”, long ago I mispelled “about” in a comic and it’s become one of those frequent things used in Dreamers Ink.
aaaah, I see…and my username’s Someguy, not bob. thanks for clearing that up.
Bob is the name of the green hair guy…
Oh, I JUST got the ‘aboot’ thing! I read it as ‘About’
That’s from some cartoon (WHICH WILL REMAIN NAMELESS): “We’ll give you something to cry aboot!”
LOL.
