I thought about structuring this strip so that Suction had already jumped the shark before panel one. Basically starting with panel three and expanding the dialog a bit…so it IS possible to jump the shark before you even begin….
Actually that was a box of “normal” blue 1×1 rounds. I did, however, score a few tall Pick-a-Brick cups full of these aqua-dots over the years. So I still have quite a few.
These shots are a little deceptive, though – there’s barely a brick’s worth of depth to the “water” in the pool.
I could tell as much, but still you have about 150% more blue tiles than me so I am uber jealous! I only have like barely 10 of those little buggers. I have clear tiles, btu they don’t amount to the epic blue color. 🙂
Wins an award for “best humorous use of a shark”. Actually, I think the silly XKCD reference you did a few plot points ago was better, but this one was pretty funny anyways.
Just couldn’t resist jumping on the Shark Week bandwagon could you Doyle? 🙂
It was pretty good to see Frobot as Suction though. Of course now it’s only a matter of time before she uses the defibrillator attachment as a threat on someone.
And yes, it’s good to see minor characters making appearances in these reboot issues. It’s almost a guessing game as to who we’ll see next. Any hints, O webcomic author?
Qui-Gon Jinn. He’s a character from a movie called The Phantom Menace.
It’s from one of those obscure Sci-Fi franchises called Star Wars.
You may not have heard of it. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=sw322
Hey Chris, I was near St. Louis for the past couple days visiting my cousins and on my way out today I saw a restaurant called: Brick House Tavern and Tap. Just thought that it was interesting.
We shouldn’t be demanding, Chris is probably on holiday or didn’t have time to build a set or otherwise had something that stopped him from putting on a comic. It doesn’t matter (much), I mean there are other webcomics to keep the fanrage at bay, right?
I was just wondering why there was no new “#1” up today, and was not trying to be rude or demanding at all.
Though now that you say it, I COULD have worded it differently…
Hahahahaha! Best use of a trope yet!
To add: hahahahahahahaha! That’s great!
And, as Madame Lecter notes below, just how laden down with 1×1 trans light blue are you?
Probably have 2 tall PaB cups worth. Maybe a smidge more than that.
Hahahaha hee hee — I complerely agree!
Jumping the shark in episode #1 must also be some kind of record?

Where’s Stirrups?
he is gone with charlie to rob a saloon
Wow–that is ALOT of blue tiles…..I am SO jealous right now!
Doyle did buy a case of around a thousand of them…

That’s better than my collection, at least. I believe I have like, only one, if even 😛
technically he jumped in with the shark, didn’t really jump over the shark, at least not yet.
Actually, he did jump the shark, in the same way you jump a car with a dead battery. ^_-

Speaking of webcomic authors… wasn’t Ian (Healy) a minor character as well? O.o
Yes, I do believe he was… might be funny to see LEGO-Ian setting up those little-bitty game piece figures in front of a camera.
This is one of my favorites so far. C-Section jumps the shark. Where’s Fonzie when you need him?
I’m not even going to dignify that joke with laughter…
if she’s using the defribrillator in water wouldn’t it all blow up or something like that?
Nice use of the caroler face on the woman on the far left of panel 3. Where’s her hair from?
Qui-Gon!
what is a qui-gon?

beep beep
Qui-Gon Jin a Star Wars minifig. You can get it in the new Sith Infiltrator set.
Star wars? No wonder I’ve never heard of it. I rarely buy liscenced themes, and when i do it’s for parts;
Harry Potter: Wands, pets, hairpieces
…
…That’s the only liscenced theme I buy. I may consider a SW set for hair capes and other stuff but IDK…bit too pricey.

Yeah Ive also been to a restaurant called brick house. I got chicken and waffles 😀
Why is there no new comic up today? It is Monday, after all.

Didn’t seem overly rude to me. The strip *is* late today. Just a scheduling error – will have it uploaded later tonight.
I will, of course, be laughing my head off if it involves either LEGO-Ian or the micro-minis.
i cant wait
That must have been a LOT of studs.
c-section hahahahahaha
