I went for “dramatically lit” in today’s strip. I think the blown-out colors add a bit to the mood I’m trying to evoke.
The episode itself if a tribute to Tim Burton’s Batman…if you’ve seen the film, you know the scene.
Finally, for you non-LEGO addicts, the “tool” in panel three is a LEGO brick separator. They really are pretty versatile.
I guess it’s too late to suggest stealing one of the cavemen beards and adopting a Russian accent?
I’m thinking it’s one of these two:

Going by the black I can see on the head.
I went shopping today, got some Little Green Army Men. 😀
Is there an iPhone app for back-alley surgeons? I wouldn’t even know where to look for one otherwise around here.
Or was there more to that Clown than met the eye beforehand? Was he truly a scary Clown, then?
Or maybe it’s a cybernetically bonded helmet…
That was built in a cave…
With a box of scraps…
Excellent lighting technique Doyle; it’s very mood appropriate.
He he, I have the Mad Scientist’s head, one of the OLD racecar sets… Brings back old memories…
You’re going to make the clown scarier? Dang.
That’s a LEGO brick separator? At first glance I thought that was a swim fin.
Clowns should be put down, not made scarier!
I’d guess something, but that’s already been done for me.
The lighting turned out great. Those back alley surgeons, you just can’t trust them to do anything right. Remind me not to go to that guy for my tummy tuck.
i hate clowns.no, i dont find them too scary, like many people(at least as my taste in fiction would have you to belive) but my problem with them is that i dont find them scary enough.not even zombie ones.
Either Geoffrey’s right with the squid head, or it’s

I really don’t see it being regular red, and EV 9D9 isn’t all that likely.
I like to think that the face is Spiderman, and SpiderClown can help defeat the rockpeople with his silliness!
I like clowns. I’ve never understood the hatred. Same thing with mimes. Mimes are hilarious.
@Dave: You mean “delicious”. Mimes are delicious.
Just noticed the robot helmet in the background, and I have a guess at how it will be used in the comic next
