I don’t know about you, but I’ve never met a cheerful math teacher.
If you’re trying to remember the other Lord Of The Rings fan service I’ve had in-strip, just cast your mind back to Bilbo Fett and the slaver ship the “One Ringer”. Could they have ties to S’Moredor?
What do you think?
I had a cheery math teacher, Mr Bell.
I had a cheerful math teacher. Her name was Mrs. Rittle.
Then again, she also was really mean. But she was !
NOW, I understand why you had Bilbo Fett, who wore robes. And I know 1 nice maths teacher. Well, he’s nice when we all go by his rules, listen to what he’ s saying and hand in the homework on time. So really, he’s never that happy.
My best friend’s husband is a fairly cheerful math teacher, who taught at one of the worst schools in Chicago on top of that.
Actually, most of my math teachers were reasonably cheerful, you must have just gotten unlucky in your selection.
S’moredor — a tasty treat for sitting around a campfire.
most-if not all- of my math teachers have been cheerful. In grade 7, my teacher was a bit… shall we say “uptight” and she dd yell sometimes… but for the most part…
Weird. I’m glad to read there are happy math teachers out there. It’s a shame I never crossed paths with them!
What if Bilbo Fett is a dwarf? And he’s related to the Dwarven Queen.
And my algebra teacher is very nice and keeps her temper very good. Even though some of us ask questions that must really push her sometimes.
Of course not, Bilbo is a hobbit!
On another note, if he continues in this direction, Doyle is taking the comic to Isengard.
BWAHAHAHHA
Mr Van Schalkwyk
Also, he got shot whilst chasing off some burglars.
I actually had a cheerful math teacher once. He looked like he was the missing member of ZZ Top.
You stole that title from IWC.
>S’moredor — a tasty treat for sitting around a campfire.
Sponsors of the International Mt. Doomboree.
My past 2 math teachers have both been cheerful
I think it depends on the mathematical aptitude of the majority of the students
I currently have two math teachers, both cheerful.
@anon: The strip title is indeed a tip-o-the-hat to IWC. Good catch.
It definitely depends on the aptitude of the students; had the same teacher for Algebra II and Calculus. He had a reputation of being really tough by most of the students in the school, but if you made it up to Calculus (which was only with him), he was quite entertaining.
Heh… after I posted the above comment, the system put a Lord Of The Rings Online ad at the bottom of the page… Hobbit-forming, indeed…
The strips are getting better chris, However today the line should have been, “None shall pass” Monty python refrences on!
Hm… Since my FATHER is a math teacher, I dunno. And he’s quite cheerful.
I just realised that “I will never let you pass” joke.
Flipping maths teachers, I swear they enjoy nothing more than making people fail on tests.
Half of my class going to fail just because of math.
Is that a dwarf with an assault rifle?
