So… an ice cream shop? In this strip? Something bad ALWAYS happens at food joints. Remember if you will… The French food place that blew up, the restaurant with the zombies, the restaurant with Batman, the bar with the armies fighting, the bar where Scotch was kissed. So, let’s all say it… “This can’t be good.”

By the time they get back the pee will be dried on.
The odds say that the pee will effect the cryo tube and it will either come to life, or turn into a portal that will take them home. Or… DONUT.
I wish they had a bar so much.
You know Doyle, this would be a perfect time for a hiatus. After my most recent archive binge, I can see that it’d probably benefit you to have a month or two away from ‘Brick House’
That’s the nicest “wow, has the quality of this strip taken a nose dive” comment I’ve ever gotten. (I know that sounds sarcastic, but honestly, it’s a very well spoken way of pointing it out.)
And…you’re right. I’ve commented on here before (and recently) that the ideas just aren’t flowing like they used to. I haven’t done much of any real building in the past year or more, too. And that impacts the strip in a lot of ways, too.
I have a few more things to say (and a few more strips in the queue) before I get to a long hiatus, though. But if it becomes obvious that I’m just producing strips just to produce strips….yeah, it’s time to take a break.
You’ve been helping people deal with stress and other issues for years by sharing your humor with everyone. I’d consider myself a failure as a reader if I never gave you a chance to deal with your own stress.
