Happy 19 years! I’m not much of a Lord of the Rings fan either. I did get the Gandalf Arrives set because I was in Waterloo’s LEGO store and none of the LotR sets were in stores in my area yet. Plus it’s the only scene I can remember when I watched it in video and tech class.
Heh. I just knew you’d find some way to work in the LOTR series; repurposing the One Donut… er, Ring as an anniversary gift was certainly a nice way to do it. Congrats!
On another note, while I appreciate the difficulties of designing minifig renditions of existing characters, doesn’t Gollum really look more like an inhabitant of the Friends-verse? Perhaps living in Heartlake City’s underground sewers, “Phantom of the Opera”-style?
We used that set for a parts draft at Brickworld, and I’m in total agreement — it was worth the cost of the set just to do this one strip. Yeah, even a castle guy like me reserves the right to say “Meh” to LOTR sets.
Congratulations to 19 happy years.
Congratulations, guys. Congrats to 19 happy years.
Anniversaries are best celebrated with laughter — best wishes for loads of LOLs for you two! 🙂
Now, put that bracelet on your MiniFig wife before Gollum gets it!! 😀
Congratulations on the anniversary to your happy union!
BTW, please tell us you are going to use that ridiculously large spider in the strip sometime. No reason to let the rest of the set go to waste!
Congrats on 19 years!
Congratulations on 19 years together! I can honestly and happily say that the two of you deserve each other. 🙂
congrats on 19 years, XplodingApple : )
congratulations on 19 years!
Happy Anniversary!!! 😀

Congratulations on 19 happy years! May you have many more to come! 😉
Congratulations! My wife agrees with yours about the ring thing.
Happy anniversary guys!
And you Americans have all the luck. I AM a huge LotR geek and we in Holland have to wait till august before we get the sets D:
Congrats, Doyle(s)
Happy anniversary! Sarah and I just celebrated 15 years married, 19 as a couple in May.
On the other hand, Gollum can store the One Ring on his hump….
Congratulations Doyles!
Congrats 😀
And doesn’t this now mean you also have a “giant” spider with which to torment Whiskey and Co.?
Thanks for the well wishes, everyone!
I’ve been swamped at work the past week, so the comic is running late. I hope to have a new episode up Sunday night.
Don’t worry about it! You do fantastic work on this webcomic and in your MOCs, so keep the quality up and nobody will be worried! 😉
Quick put on another update before Gollum decides to bite your wifes hand off for the ring.
congradulatrions!
