That is one sad looking car.
That is one sad looking car.
I know they’ll be adding to it (the box tells me so!) but…come on. That’s just sad.
The Star Wars micro is cute, though.

My vote is the car. A) i love cars and B) i know the end effect and i like it better.
I must admit this is perhaps the worst lego advent in history. Still, that car is going to get better. So I vote car.
In other words, I see NO WAY for the star wars advent to overtake city~
Wow, yeah @ the car. Like it got stripped by a street gang. Honestlt it would have been amusing if they’d just made it a go-kart. Would be fitting for the fake cop.
LOL. Not “got” stripped; is “being” stripped — they’ve haven’t taken the wheels yet! A classic sign of a run-down area are cars on blocks with their wheels ‘alf-inched.
TLG should know better than to release something that poor for a day of an Advent calendar. I mean, really, what were they thinking????
Lime Greebs!
Any chance of a shot on the caboose of that micro-LAAT?
Check out the BrickLink catalog entry if you want a really good idea of how it’s built! 😉
You mean his one?
Nice usage of the old rocket engine/robot body piece.
YAY!!!!!! An “Earth-Shattering Ka-Boom!” Now all we need is Marvin the Martian and the Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator…
And yeah the car looks a bit peckish. But the gunship looks even more so.
The City model is terrible… terrible enough I feel I’m doing it a favour calling it a “model” in its current state. The Star Wars model, on the other hand, has a couple interesting pieces–what is that nose slope?—and, at a very small scale, is accurate to the inspiration… and it’s a bit swooshable, which is more than I can say for the car.
So… Star Wars wins this round handily.
That nose slope is a two-unit-high 2×1 slope, lying on its back. Clever engineering, rather than an uncommon part.
The star wars stuff hasn’t made an appearance yet — though I do understand it’s a bit hard to work in a bunch of cool microscale ships into this story, heh.
I dunno, I’m a fan of those 4×7 car bases.
But yeah, Star Wars wins today no question.
At least Star Wars is going to give us a printed Santa torso. That alone makes it worth it.
