#1031 – Like a Horse, Or so they say
Sep27
I imagine Frobot to speak with the same voice synthesizer that Stephen Hawking uses. That makes panel four extra creepy.
For those of you who don’t know, the actor who played Harry Potter also *ahem* appeared in the play Equus.
And when Luka’s responding to Frobot in the last panel, I imagine the voice of Carrie Fisher from the original Star Wars trilogy when it was originally aired. 😉
That’s not creepy at all!
Luka has a scary face on atm.
They’re going to find that making a good webcomic is harder than you would think… by the way, your link to Equus is dead.
I’m curious what Equus is, but somehow I don’t think i’ll find any information on it at “http:///”
Link to Equus is fixed now – sorry about that.
Are you hiding words in the comic now or did you miss a balloon in panel 2? And for some reason I would read Frobot as HAL from 2001.
@Siabur: Yeah, I guess I did miss a bubble in panel two – amazing catch. It was a call back to the House of Brick slogan – Luka’s extra line of dialog is “That life…is good!”
Actually, I think the strip flows better without it. (Otherwise it breaks up the “happy poeople/harry’s not happy” link.)
It would be more humourus I frobot’s voice was “Microsoft Sam”.
Oh yes, Equus. Ewwwwwwww.
Isn’t Harry Potter a happy character? I wouldn’t know I haven’t read the books. or seen the movies.
No, Harry Potter’s life is full of turmoil and death. A lot for a teen to deal with.
Doyle! Theatrical quips are my stock-in-trade… except I’ve not had much with that lately. Well played, Doyle. Well played.
“Hes on a Horse”
@Isaac: He almost gets killed at least once IN EVERY BOOK.
I’m not kidding, it’s true.
oop.
yay im back
