In the movie Cast Away, the viewer is left wondering what’s in the final package that Tom Hank’s character doesn’t open while trapped on the island. Whiskey’s line is a nod to what the film’s director has said was inside.
This one is a little tougher. Johnny comes with two axes and a unique-to-the-CITY-Advent torso.
On the Star Wars side….a really nicely done micro X-Wing.
Hmm.
My vote is to the johnny figure. I love the figure. X-wing is ok but not something that is winter like
UNique heagear (I don’t know that to be available in green) and a unique torso = AWESOME!
Just what you need at Christmas…an axe-wielding maniac!
The hood appears in green in the Winter Post Office set as well, but that’s it.
I’ve not got that yet, but…still, it’s ALMOST unique. Close enough. But seriously, that guy just makes you SCREAM christmas! XD
I wonder why they didn’t include the green torso with the Winter Post Office. The plain gray torso with a green hood looks crappy IMO. (I’m hoping that the pictures are a mistake and the really included a green one when it comes time to build ours.)
Nope, not a green torso in mine. I’m assuming that it’s edgy street fashion.
Just think of the puns Doyle could slip in here! 😀 No, I’m not telling you, why should I spoil potential webcomic material? 😉
The link doesn’t work…I know what you mean though. “Wilson” was the best.
Whoops. Link should be better once the cache updates.
Johnny Snow?
I go for the X-wing. Despite the semi-unique headgear and the unique torso, I can’t help but feel a little meh about Johnny.
The really good thing about “Johnny,” in my books, is the different colour of his torso and hood. That’s not regular green… is it the same as “Green Goblin” green? In any case, the fact that it wasn’t regular green made it that much better–I still have four regular green hoods from 2000’s Arctic line that are mostly unused…
I think Johnny wins this round. He looks like he’s got a new torso print. I could probably build that X-Wing if I knew what all the parts were you got with it.
I’m a little curious about the direction of the city advent calendar. First there was police, and now I can only assume this guy is a guy who’s job is to rescue people in the wilderness. I do like that X-Wing, and I’ve always thought that the x-wings resembled the ship in Descent quite a lot (though it would actually be the other way around, since Star Wars IV predates Descent :P)
umm what ever happened to grinchleys corpse
Flung offscreen by the hygene-a-pult?
judging by what’s been going on, it’s off screen unless the criminal is up to something.
It just wouldn’t be advent without an axe-wielding maniac! And look, he even has that eyewear I recall being popular in the axe maniacal advent community! 😀
