This Calendar goes to Eleven. And then continues on, apparently.
Day Eleven: Fireplace
Today’s kit is at least somewhat holiday-inspired. A fireplace with a roaring fire ready to toast Santa’s toes.
Not a particularly well designed fireplace, mind you – when’s the last time you saw one where the flames came out of the wall? And what’s that white cone thing on the mantle supposed to be?
The only nice thing about today’s set is that some of these parts will be useful once the season is over and I can take things apart for re-use elsewhere.
I’m giving today five out of a possible ten points. Not that I’m going to rate any other daily sets. I just wanted to point out how mediocre today’s offering is.
this one looks great cant whayt to se it being used to warm up in the advent wars.
Think it’s an urn for ashes? As for flames out the side, might be a gas fire place I guess.
i think the cone is suppose to be a candle.
I was thinking it was a gas fireplace too. That’s the only reason I can think the flame would come out of the wall.
The cone is their grandmother’s cremated remains.
I think the flame is curled because lego were to lazy to make the thing bigger for the classic flame (or “Cheap imitation fire” as the fireman put it on the first advent madness). As for the white thing… a lamp or ornament? Maybe a sweet jar and the yellow stud is the wrapper of a cadbury’s roses chocolate toffee? the possibilities are almost endless.
I’d say the white thing is a candle.
I can see the parts in this set used as part of a flamethrower in the advent wars soon. Might need some other parts, though.
you most likely the white thing is a candle. You have a light on top so maybe
why would you put a cantel on a fireplace?
sorry i ment candel
For decoration? You gotta put something on the mantel 😛 [/interiordesigner]
