I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the hairpiece he's wearing looks all wrong. It should be one of the above hairpieces, but I'm not sure if it's actually this female hairpiece, below:

The only thing I'm sure of is that it doesn't suit him at all.
He's wearing the "x67" hairpiece in the strip.
I didn't think of trying that new "short bob" hairpiece from the Indy sets, though. That might work better, I'll give it a try tonight, and retcon if needed.
LEGO really didn't make "late 80's" hairstyle choices...
If it really is that hairpiece, it must be a bad reflection somewhere. Sometimes polished plastic just comes out too shiny.
I think anyone who comes up with a shine-remover that can take the flash brightness out of photos might just have something pretty marketable.
And he saying "bogus" is a reference to Bill and Ted's Bogus Adventure. Man, if browsing the xkcd forums has tought me anything, it's popular culture.
P.S. I'm still waiting for the next contest.
Strange things are afoot at the Circle K...uh, the Brick House...
Hey Ian, how strange is it getting over at the S-Club HQ on your page? They must be going nuts having had this huge vacation break. ;)
Hmmm... as I recall Dave, Bill & Ted uttered "Bogus" at least once (in response when the royal ugly dude said "execute them")... though my favorite was when Bill referred to Ted's apparent death as "most non-triumphant." :)
I honestly didn't think it was going to be Ted -- mainly because I didn't think there was a way to accurately portray pushed-up black/white sweatpants and Converse high-tops in LEGO.
Oh well, I'm kinda glad it's Ted. Danceny got to shag nasty with Glenn Close, but he really didn't have much going for him otherwise. Ted just fits in better with this bunch.
Now I just need my popcorn... something tells me tomorrow's episode will be worth waiting all week for. :)
"the special effects are fading"
That line cracks me up!
What do you mean with ''That line cracks me up''?

Well, I just don't know what it means.
