Episode 392
Read the comic here.
It may be insane logic, but I figure if you're reading Brick House you wouldn't be satisfied with anything less.
And now, as a special treat, a spoiler image! Click here if you want to see what broke out of the Cryo-Tube. (You'll see it next week regardless - but I thought it'd make a nice EasterEgg for the die-hards.)

I thought you meant seeing the full hair. IN THE STRIP.
Oh well.
Nooooo!
Lol, I thought it was going to grow bigger then the console, but I think it's much scarier then I had in mind.
Good job as always.
Doyle, clean your bricks, man. I don't wanna guess what those green and brown stuffs are on the side of the cryo-tube! Anyway, sweet hair-monster. I'm guessing you used a 1x1 brick with 5 studs to connect it all together?
Jake:
The full creature will be in next week's strips. Think of the Egg is meant as a sort of "Behind the Scenes" peek.
Maarten:
Thanks. I thought about making it a giant hairball, but there's still more about the hair to be revealed...
Jinja:
I picked that brick out of my bag of "filthies" on purpose. Cryo-Tubes are always icky and moldy. Didn't you see Alien? ;)
As to construction, there's indeed a 1x1 5-stud, but also a 1x1 grey round to help seat the wig and a technic pin to hold the third leg into the 6th side of the 1x1. There's only a few angles I can photograph the creature from to keep the foundation hidden - it's meant to look like a ball of hair with tentacle arms...
And as a super-nerdy Egg, here's a shot that shows how to build your own creature.
Okay, one thing I'm just not getting and that is this: Where has the hair gone to, is it still hiding out in the lab, or has it teleported itself somewhere else?
Has it even teleported? If Doyle could make the current strip a little more conclusive, I might be able to draw some more logical sounding conclusions.
One more thing, Doyle, this stupid blogger/Google thing keeps asking again and again for the word verification or login details every time a post is made! Is there anything you can do about that?
I would've thought Google of all sites would be fully aware of the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) principles and be able to do me a preview page even if someone has replied.
Geoffrey:
Try and think of these strips in more of a "horror movie" vein - you're not *supposed* to know where the hair has gotten to at this point. You're meant to be in the same boat as Whiskey and Donut - they know it's loose...but that's about it.
Not sure why you're having such trouble with the comment system. Once I'm logged in to blogger I don't get any word verification prompts - are you surfing with cookies turned off of something?
And even when I'm not logged in I can read the comments fine without having to enter any codes.
Regardless, there's really nothing I can do about it - it's not as if I have any clout with Google/Blogger. You might try putting in a forum post or trouble ticket directly with their tech support and see if they have any suggestions...
I keep having issues with "it's loose" - you haven't even given us a clue as to where 'loose' is ...
Hopefully Monday will explain things somewhat more clearly, and at least give us an idea of what the hair's up to.
I like it when a well-written story arc tends to drop clues that are there for people to pick up on, and aren't too obvious, but aren't super hard to piece together, as to where something's gone to.
As far as Blogger/Google goes, it SHOULD be able to preview a comment, regardless of how many comments have been posted, and I'm not sure if cookies have anything to do with it, as I don't actually get any cookie prompts here.
It mainly seems to happen if someone posts a comment between the time I go to write up my own comment, and the time when I submit that comment.
Blogger/Google comments SHOULD be previewable, regardless of how many comments have since been posted to the blog thread, it's not that difficult for them to do, so get onto their tech support and find out what the heck the issue with something so simple is!
doyle,is there gonna be an epic battle between whiskey and donut vs whiskeys hair? can i expect it to be better than the fights with the pirate ninjas and ninja pirates?
This feels like it's going to turn into Alien with Whiskey as Sigourney Weaver. LOL
Ian
Your monster looks like a hair pin.
HAIRpin. Was that intentional?
baz- What do you mean a HAIRPIN?
A pin to hold back hair. Hairpin.
If the hair escaped, that means Donut is going to get the crap beaten out of him!
Yes, I know, baz, but HOW does it look like a HAIRPIN?
The shape of it.
