Wow, that turned out great, Chris!
Where did you get that bronze astromech head?
Hi Doyle, I've finally made a real Blogger profile and blog! anyway, I'm really liking that model, I wish I had that much lego. I'm surprised that it actually works! :D
Nick:
The astromech head is from set 7661 (Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring)
That ship is turning out great, I wonder if SteamPunk by definition excludes shielding from atmosphere?
The only question I have to ask is why the mix of reddish brown/brown bricks? Or is camera lighting affecting things?
To the comics, where is Episode 344?? I want to see what happens when Whiskey discovers his friends from the S-team may be against him!
Geoffrey:
The mix of colors was due to two things:
1) It adds a bit of texture to an otherwise bland sea of brown
2) I didn't have enough tiles to work things in just one color.
Just posted the comic now - tomorrow's will be in the afternoon as well, but then I should be back to a morning update schedule.
The cargo nets & gas lamps are great!
I like the old cockpit window but also enjoy the brown chain from the revision; recommend you combine that aspect: old window w/ chains.
