Mars Re-Mission Entry: DISCO Robot
I wasn't sure there were too many themes left to explore in the Re-Mission contest. Still, I was hoping that I'd get a few last-minute "didn't want to give anyone else ideas" type entries might arrive...and sure enough...
Check out this awesome DISCO Robot from master builder Chris Edwards!

Wow.
I spy a winner?
Uhh so yah I just submitted my enrie, Technicly for me its 10:23 before the 17 (I think thats the date) Will my entrie still be counted because I got it in before the due date
oh this is emmbarising i just re read the rules, the dead line is sunday not satur day, embarising!
I'm pretty lenient on the submission deadline. As long as the pictures were mailed to bat_hero@hotmail.com before I get to work on Monday morning...it's all good.
Pictures...or LINKS to pictures if you have them hosted somewhere else. Thought I'd clarify that.
(And, yes, Doug7172, your entry was received just fine.)
Not sure if I'll have time this weekend to post entries as they come in. Most likely I'll just do one big update on Monday.
Wait, wait, is the robot giving the finger?
Phew I was worring about wether or not I would get it in on time, got to read the instructions more carefully next time.
Hay Chris (wait a minnute im younger than you so how you like me to address you, Mr. Doyle? Plz I would like to know even thought this is the internet I like to maintain some respect for others *winks*) Why did you get rid of the forum? Oh yah you said it was to much work! Hmm i wish i could have registered while it was still running, but alas I did not have my own email then (pathertic huh?)
Doug7172:
Chris is fine; this is a pretty informal blog.
As to why I ditched the forums...frankly they were a pain to maintain (15-20 spam accounts created each day) and didn't get the use that I had hoped they would.
There are several well-established LEGO forums out there already, and obviously most of my content has to do with LEGO stuff. When you combine that fact with the hoops necessary to sign up and start posting...well, it's not shocking that things failed.
So far this blog format has been working out pretty well - I can keep folks up to date (via the RSS feed in many cases) and if a visitor wants to comment, it's quick and easy to do so.
